Country Plantation Wedding Film, Greenville Kentucky

Kendall & Jonathan were such a sweet couple. We had a lot of fun making memories with them on their wedding day. Kendall watched the film last night, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a passionate response from a bride. Kendall & Jonathan Neely tied the knot at the Country Plantation House in Greenville KY.

Here’s the the full wedding film. Congrats, Kendall & Jonathan!

Cancun Destination Wedding Film

Laila and Andrew tied the knot in a perfect Cancun Destination Wedding ceremony in June. After six long years of a mostly long distance relationship, they decided to become husband and wife in Cancun, Mexico. Since their families are from all over the world, most of their guests would have to travel to their wedding no matter where they got married, so why not Cancun!

There were so many festivities over a three day period… starting with their wedding rehearsal on the beach at Now Sapphire on Thursday morning. A luxurious, poolside welcome party Thursday night filled with toasts and words from family and friends. Of course, the beautiful wedding ceremony on the beach, a stunning reception filled with dancing, including a surprise traditional Argentinian Tango performed by the newly married couple.

Underwater Trash the Dress Sequence

The morning after the wedding, we got up at the break of dawn to head out to Dos Ojos Cenote (Mexican Underwater Cave) to do an Underwater Trash the Dress session. It was absolutely amazing. Laila looks stunning as she poses in her dress underwater. It was beautiful. Check it out just past the 8 minute mark.

State Street Methodist Church Wedding Film, Kelsey + Christopher

Kelsey & Christopher were married in the beautiful and historic State Street Methodist Church in Bowling Green. We followed this happy couple around all day as they prepped for what would be one of the most memorable days of their lives. Kelsey & Chris were so sweet and so much fun to be around.

There are a couple of highlights in this wedding film that I absolutely love. First, Kelsey’s dad Paul Burrell has one of the most touching toasts. He lets everyone know just how lucky he is to have married his wife, Joan, and it’s a very moving moment. The second thing I love about this wedding is it’s our first wedding film in which a female officiant has performed the wedding ceremony, and I love it. In the longer edit, Kelsey’s dad mentions how glad he is that his children were able to grow up with a strong female pastor.

The night wrapped up with one heck of a reception, nay, party at La Gala in downtown Bowling Green. Lydia Peterson knocked it out of the park. The reception was beautiful. The band was incredible. And the dance floor didn’t slow down all night!

Congratulations to Kelsey & Christopher!

Choosing your wedding venue is often the first and one of the biggest decisions you will make in terms of wedding planning. And if you’re looking for a wedding venue in Bowling Green, KY, you’re lucky to have a plethora of exquisite choices. Whether you’re a looking for a classic, traditional wedding, an elegant barn wedding, or even a cave wedding, you’re going to find something you like around Bowling Green.

We put together a video highlighting some of these wedding venues, using footage from a few of our actual wedding films. Take a look at the vid, then scroll down for descriptions of each wedding venue and why we like them so much.

Historic Potter Farm

Historic Potter Farm is a fairly new wedding venue in Bowling Green. Owned by Greg and Joe Ann Gary, this rustic, barn wedding venue is actually just south of Bowling Green in the Rich Pond Community. You can enjoy a quiet, outdoor ceremony surrounded by trees and greenery. It features a 5,000 square foot barn, the perfect backdrop for your reception festivities and also a great backup for your ceremony in case it rains. And the cottage house is beautiful. It’s definitely one of our favorite places to shoot in the area.

Cason’s Cove

Another great rustic venue in the Kentucky countryside, Cason’s Cove is an elegant, unique wedding venue in Alvaton, KY, right outside Bowling Green. Imagine a beautiful, romantic barn with a Tuscan flare. Gabrielle Bush and family have created a masterpiece with this wedding location, and we think you’ll love it!

Lost River Cave

If you truly want a unique wedding experience, you can’t go wrong with a wedding at Lost River Cave. Enjoy a creekside wedding in a shaded, wooded area right next to the cave entrance before moving the party inside to the cave itself. With lots of history and over 2 miles of nature trails, Lost River Cave is easily one of the most beautiful Bowling Green wedding venues.

Olde Stone

Olde Stone is just straight up classy. Featuring multiple outdoor wedding ceremony locations, a beautiful ballroom with crystal chandeliers, a gorgeous picturesque fountain, and stunning cottages, a wedding at Olde Stone is definitely an exquisite affair. There are so many great views and backdrops for photography and videography.

The Arling

Okay, so The Arling is technically a wedding venue in Franklin, KY, but there was no way we were going to leave this place out. The Arling at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Golf Course is such a beautiful venue. Originally a tobacco barn, it’s an 8,000 square foot event venue that’s been completely remodeled and renovated into one of my most beautiful wedding venues in Kentucky. The Arling is owned by Lydia Peterson (Kenny Perry’s sister), who is also a fabulous wedding planner with Elle Squared Weddings & Events. You’re in good hands here.
